My family is not very good at hanging up their towels. I find them on the floor all the time. Consequently, I sometimes have an odor problem. When I do, I have to wash my towels two and three times to get them to smell clean. It has been hard lately to wash some of my towels enough and I have been throwing some of them away. So today I went to Kohls to buy a few new ones. I purposely stayed away from the super plush ones because they get more smelly. I stepped up to the register to buy my towels and the cashier commented on how pretty they were. I don't usually do this, but I started to complain about my smelly towels and my family's poor habits. That was a mistake, because it opened the flood gates and I started to hear all about her family. She then said, "When I married my husband, he had towels that he had been using for five years!" Five years? I just smiled and thought, "Are you serious?" Does this mean that if you have towels older than five years you are weird or seriously gross? It made me feel stupid. I wanted to say, "I have towels that I got over 10 years ago", but obviously I didn't. I took a quick inventory of the towels I have and I have to admit that some are pretty ratty looking. I guess I have more shopping to do.

you and me both!!! I won't even say how old mine are:)
I'm proud to say that we still have towels we got for our wedding- a few are actually still in good shape! ha I keep a few nice towels set aside that I only put in the closet when company comes, so they're always nice. Is that stupid?
I have a towel that Andrew's roommate used to use....don't ask me how old it is....and I didn't know it was his roommate's until a couple years ago. It still didn't stop me from using it! HA! HA!
