Ok, it was an eventful day at the Loveland Walmart today. This afternoon Elizabeth and I went to the store for some pop and more icing for her birthday party. We walked in and got just past the "foyer" where the carts are located when this man sprinted past us to the exit. He was followed by two men in blue shirts that were running
unbelievably fast--it was impressive actually. We no sooner turned back around and were passed by a big black dude. I don't know who these men were. They must be secret Walmart employees because they were wearing blue shirts, but they had earpieces in like headphones. The big guy was grabbing at both his ear and his back pocket (none of them had a belt with security devices). Is there seriously a security team at Walmart? Who knows? I wanted to go back out the door to see the conclusion of the chase, but I had gotten into the store too far and I felt like I would look really stupid if I did. The customers standing at the door watched for less than a minute and then casually turned around and walked in the store. I got the feeling that the chase went out of sight, otherwise I bet they would have stood there and watched the wrestling match. Elizabeth then asked me what was wrong. Smile. I told her "that's what happens when you steal something." She just looked at me thoughtfully and said, "Oh". On the ride home, she told me that "the workers will take the man to his mother and tell what happened". Boy, is he in trouble then! Maybe she will make him stand in the corner and go to bed early! Ha! I'll have to read the paper to find out what happened.
