The Ties That Bind

It's almost Valentines' Day! I decided to do something different for Donnie this year. So I'm doing the 12 days of valentines, you know, like the 12 days of Christmas. I've been giving him little things each day up to the 14th. He has really loved it- I was surprised. He's even asked me what his surprise is for the day. I started out with 1 card, then 2 chocolates, etc. It's been fun- especially as the number gets bigger... We'll go out for lunch on Valentines Day because we have a soccer game and pep band that night and can't go out to dinner. (Why do people plan games on the night of Valentines' Day? ) Myra is excited about giving out little valentines for her class party on Friday. I helped her finish them yesterday. She's my only one that gets to do that still. At cub scout den meeting we played valentine bingo and one of the cards had 2 cupids on it. The boys got grossed out and thought it was naked people- they had never heard of cupid before. So I had to explain it to them. I remember the big box of chocolates that Dad would get all us girls on Valentines Day. We each got our own box. Hope you get something special on Saturday! And be careful on Friday the 13th!
